English for Heidi

  It seems difficult to believe that I did start this blog two months ago … This semester was to short!

I must say that it was a good experience (while I became crazy with the edition). It was my first blog in English (my first blog too) and I think it is not so bad. No?                                                                           

It was nicer to work and to discover the functioning of the blog than to write a long and boring logbook (and I think I may be nicer to read).  One of the best points was for me that in a blog you don’t have to use formal English, here I was writing as I was talking (so not with the better English).The fact that it gave us more freedom in the ‘mise en page’ (the style, the theme, the presentation). I was not has adventurous as Vanessa (her blog is very nice and a little crazy but it changes compare to all the others) and I did a classical one.

And I didn’t forget that like this the teacher can check on us (if we have done our work in time) and help with the correction. 

Anyway even though this blog took me a lot of time, it was appealing to write and to do English in this context. The real shame is I did pass more time working on this than in other lectures … but don’t say this to my Physics teachers!  (Lol) 

In conclusion I think we were good guinea pigs and this experience should continue but may be with other year (with less pressure) and with a longer semester!

I must thanks Elisabeth for her idea and her help, Marjorie and Vanessa who were the PDF and photos fairies (yes, I know my scanner is not working anymore and they did help me with the documents!  Thanks girls! If you have time go to see their blog, they are very good! As you can see even with their help I still miss some document …Anyway it is a little too late to look for them!).

And thanks to all the persons who read and comment (by the blog or by any other way) your participation was helpful!

I am a French student in her fourth year of physics at Joseph Fourier, the Sciences University of Grenoble.

This year our teacher had a good idea, since we have to write an little book about our English course, why not use the net and create a Blog ?

So this blog will be used as a course log. The ‘Summary Of the Lessons’ page is a little diary of events which take place during the class. On the ‘Account of what went on in the class‘ page, as says the name, you will find the work done during English hours. At last a personnal page will include more things like photos and documents.

This blog is in construction, so it will be updated every week (normally …).
